This Matte Brown Classic Eye Makeup Goes With Everything - Makeup and Beauty Blog

This is an easy, everyday archetype eye look.

If I were cruelly forced to select a tiny scattering of eye makeup looks to wear for the rest of my life the balance of the wintertime, this matte brown look with chocolate-brown black eyeliner would definitely make the cut.

Not just is information technology relatively speedy to do (say 15-xx minutes start to cease), it's besides easy because it doesn't heavily rely on intense blending.

Products I used…

A banging' brew of browns

And so, what makes it relatively easy? Answer: The two brown shades — the gilt brown on my lids (MAC Cork) and the warmer orangey brownish in my pucker (MAC Saddle) — are like tones, which makes blending them together easier.

In fact, if you're REALLY pressed for fourth dimension, you can even skip the warm brown in the crease, and just clothing the gold brown eyeshadow all over your lids.

That said, I do like the warm brown in the pucker considering, especially when I'k wearing a little bronzer, a warm brown in the pucker ties everything together nicely.

Ever adaptable

Another added bonus to this look is that it really does work with everything — bold lipsticks, nude lipsticks, no lipstick at all (for when I'chiliad masked up). It's quite flexible.

Base notes

Oh, and about that eyeshadow base — in the pics above, I'm purposefully wearing a beige cream eye primer with a beige pulverization eyeshadow buffed on pinnacle, which are lighter than my skin tone. I do this because, when I want browns to show up on my brown pare, I take to go lighter with my base. That makes them pop. I recommend going with a base that'southward like to your skin tone.

Sometimes, though, I skip the biscuit base of operations entirely and just do a swish of gold brown eyeshadow all over my lids, similar in this moving-picture show beneath:

I'm wearing MAC Cork all over my lids without an eyeshadow base. The lipstick is MAC Relentlessly Red. Smash polish is Duri When in Rome. Nap Then Attack Tee.

See how the brownish shadow adds a touch of depth to my pucker? Merely not as much equally it does when there's a beige base of operations underneath? I think it still works, though.
